I was introduced to photography at age five when my father gave me a Kodak Signet 35mm rangefinder camera. My passion for the medium has continued to grow since then.

I am fascinated by photography as a method of improvisation and discovery. I primarily create images from fragments of scenes, finding a balance between visual reality and the emotional abstract. By exploring pattern, form, and texture I enter a place of imagination, risk, and absorption in the instant of creation

If photos reflect the photographer then my images might provide the viewer a glimpse into how I often percieve my surroundings. Everyone has a unique view of the world though I feel we are so busy in our daily activities that we often miss much of intruiging imagery that we are presented with each day. Upon closer examination I find that there is nearly always something extraordinary in the ordinary.
